This outfit would be perfect for a summers day out and about. This paisley outfit is soo lush, I really want it but it's out of stock :( Piece the outfit together with a lovely Cambridge   satchel and multi coloured pastel nails. Perfect.

Dusk Til Dawn - NIGHTIME

This outfit I think would be perfect for any night out on the town. I love the burlesque red colouring in the lipstick and the bag because being a big fan of black clothing I need some sort of colour in my outfits! Gold jewellery ties it all together and the chunky Topshop shoes with a brown heel gives the outfit a twist. WOULD love to buy this dress, waiting for it to come back in stock (cumon!) It's my favourite dress I've seen in a VERY long time, so up my street.

Summer Forecast - Draft

This was my first draft for the summer forecast, but I felt as though this was more current fashion not what I thought the summer would be full of! So I soon changed the design completely.(That is me in the very fetching playsuit!)

Summer Forecast - Bohemian Fashion

Right, so this is the finished mood board! I love Bohemian fashion, and I think it's something that will forever be in fashion when it's summer. From music festivals to  holidays, everyday sports some bohemian clothing in the summer months. The bold colours to the earthy tones always make an appearance and Aztec never gets old. This year I predict that it will be taken to a new level, thanks to the style icons of Vanessa Hudgens & The Olsen sisters we have a great outline of what is to come. In this mood board are two pictures of me (cringe) wearing a flower head piece and a paisley print dress with bowler hat. This is just the start of my summer wardrobe and can't wait to keep buying more "hippy"  inspired garments!

So that's all my tasks done, phew, that has taken some time! Hope it's all worth it :) Would love to know what you think.

New collection by OPENING CEREMONY in link with the film Spring Breakers. The collection ranges in price, but is pretty reasonable. I'd love the netted vests if it wasn't for the reference to the film, because the film was AWFUL. I think the collection is really cool, and I love the style they've gone for.

The film it's self is all very based on the image of the girls and looking "cool" so these clothes really reflect this!

The only part of the film that I thought was done well, was actually the fashion! They all look effortlessly hot and have some pretty cool outfits. This poster sort of sums up what is in the film, however, it is still a terrible film. So I thought I'd do a post in relation to the fashion surrounding "SPRING BREAK" in america and of course the summer fashion here in the UK.

The run through:

After making the gift wrap boxes back in December for Christmas presents I thought I'd try something new and BIGGER. Mum gave me this old, scratched table that has been gathering dust in the garage for years and when I saw it I immediately knew what I wanted to do with it, COVER IT IN PICTURES. I have a Company subscription so I have a few magazines just lying around my room, after flicking through I decided to use Feb & March editions as they had the spring/summer trends and that was the theme I wanted - floral, pretty girl colours. Pastels, floral prints, flowers, neons and metallics are the main themes on the table. I'd suggest picking a theme otherwise it's just going to look a bit too crazy!

So, after cleaning down the table I got to work with cutting out my favourite parts of the magazines. From models to butterfly prints I spent a good hour sorting through them and slowly creating a pile of material to use.

I decided to use Mod Podge with added glitter, as I had read good reviews about it and LOVE glitter so thought it would look even better with a bit of sparkle. It's so easy to use, and cheap. The bottle I used cost about £6, then the sponge brushes were about £2. All you do is give it a little stir then apply it in the same way as PVA glue, as to be honest, Mod Podge is just posh PVA! 

Before gluing anything down I played around with layouts and ways to construct the top of the table. Once I was happy I just pushed it all off and went crazy. I think it's best not to plan too much and just layer as you go along.

I used the glue to stick the images down first and then using the larger sponge applied a thin layer of the glue over the top to secure it and give the glitter finish. 

After spinning the table round and cutting pieces out the magazines to fit perfectly to each table leg etc, I was finally finished after a good two/three hours of work.  The glue dried SO quickly, so it was ready to use almost 15 minutes after finishing. I would recommend leaving it for a good hour though just to make sure it's all dry. I went over the whole thing and re applied glue to the bits lacking glitter or needing securing again.

After waiting for it to dry, I placed it at the end of the bed and added a few trinkets to the table to create the cutest magazine inspired table everrrrrrrr.
